View Full Version : Facial Animation Set up
Sleepius 07-13-2008, 10:45 PM I am new to rigging and am trying to find a nice tutorial for rigging a face for animation with dialogue. I have seen people do this using joints, but am not sure about how to go about it. Any help is greatly appreciated as I am trying to apply this to my Thesis.
Thanks

Thanks seifneo this helps me out alot. im using maya for my project. my roommate was suggesting using a "blend original" and a "Blend vector" so that i can keep adding shapes after the rig is bound. would i place the joints on the blend vector? or would i be applying the joints to seperate shapes?
I have also noticed that there is alot of mention of orienting the joints after placing them all. can someone please explain the reasoning for this? I get that it makes sure that they rotate the same way, but if laid out in the front and side panels, would their orientation get messed up?
