View Full Version : mia_light_surface only works with nurbs?

Hi,

I'm trying to make a controlled glow on an mia material. When I put the mia_light_surface shader into the additional color slot and render, I get an error that my object isn't nurbs. Haven't figured out how to plug the Mia_material with layered shader. I also reallly would like to avoid any sort of post.

Actually, it's kinda funny, and absolutely uninteded probably, but you can use mia_material with layered shader by connecting the "Result" output of mia to input[some#] of the layered shader. Result is the full end result and I believe it was supposed to be only used for buffering purposes?

anyway, its nice to know.......now you can have glows with mia.......I think lots of other stuff works now too, being that you can use the add node to add two types of shaders together...........
