View Full Version : Dell 24" monitor height adjustment stuck.

No amount of pressing the button on the back of the stand and tugging upwards will get my screens height to go up. Whats worse is its stuck right at the lowest setting.

I'm stuck in Oxford doing an internship for another 2 months and I have no receipts for warrenty stuff with me.. or free time to get this sorted out.

Anyone had this happen?

Or know how to dissasemble them? I assume theres some sort of spring mechanism that might be jammed.

Hah never mind.

Brute forced the mechanism.

Damn those things are shoddy.

Mine is stuck too. Glad to know I can fix it when I get home.

Yeah. The key is to make sure the button is fully flush with its surroundings. If you cant get it in.. just keep applying tons of force. Then pull upwards as hard as u can. (obviously remove the lcd before trying that!)

Got it, thanks. I ended up using a mallet on the button.
