IPR problems. HELP!

what about using layers ?

what about layers? can you tell me how to solve this problem? im a newbie.

ok ... on the right side of your Maya interface, you should have a pannel that have two options to tick ( Display and Render ) a bit like this (http://www.9jcg.com/tutorials/marc-andre_guindon/maya_animation_layer_06.jpg)

if you don't have it, press CTRLl+Space once or twice ...

then, add a layer by clicking on the icon with the yellow star ( far right of that pannel )
that creates a new layer :)

then select a 3D object in your scene, the right click on the new layer name you just created.

Select "Add Selected Objects". That's it ... you can now select or unselect the visibility of the layer by clicking on the little "V" letter next to the layer name ...
