View Full Version : lights are too dark in my scene. need help!
vallaha 07-13-2008, 05:45 PM will someone please look very carefully at the two pictures? the pic on the left is the tutorial im following along to. the secon pic on the right is my scene. iv'e got three lights in the scene and im using mental ray with raytracing and final gathering selected. my scene is still to dark in my IPR. can someone help?

Because they use maya 2008 ,
and you used maya below 2008 ?
In below 2008 ver , ipr not support finalgather-mental ray

im using 2008 unlimited. any other ideas?
Using an exposure node for the camera?

Is the problem only in IPR? what does it look like with normal render.

try to restore default settings on render.global menu, and remade your settings step by step: take a look the framebuffer section.

no joy. the render is the same in normal render mode. any more ideas? also, why is my rendered picture in the ipr view smaller than the wire frame in the ipr view?
