ok here's the situation:
I got a 1000 frames shot, rendered through the net renderer in about 2 minutes per frame.
Iv'e noticed that 99% of the time max prepere the scene and only a fracture of that time is the actual rendering.
during the time that objects are prepared max uses only one CPU.
I find myself easyly working in a second session and it only takes 2 more seconds to render cause the second CPU fire up only at the render stage.
the scene has about 100000 particles and a very dense displaced "mountain" with animation.
the question is:
can I turn on multiply servers for net rendering on the same computer so that XP will handle them as 2 threads instead of waiting for max to use them?
the only option I know of is telling menually to max, render from frame 0-500 and the second copy to render 500-1000
please advice
