View Full Version : Problem : UV distorsion when using Smooth in Maya

Hello all, and thank you for reading this post.
I have a problem in Maya when i use the smooth on polygone.

The result is UV distorsion, and I do not know how to solve this problem .

UV on LOW POLY :

Result after smooth (with SmoothUv unchecked) :

I know there is a plugging on Highend3d (xPolyTransferUV) to solve this problem, but it doesn't work on Maya 8.5...

At this time i am blocked :(

fix ur MESH...n Sew d UV Edges... :-|

yeah man, your mesh doesn't have enough edge loops running along the edges of your model, so when the mesh smooths it tears the uv's. just add a few loops right up close to the edges of your mesh and it will be fine
