View Full Version : Anyone recommends a graphic card?
fangjunning 07-12-2008, 04:23 PM Hi, recently I update my zbrush 3.0 to 3.1, but I got a problem to export normal map. It is said the reason is the graphic card doesn't support openGL (Mine is Radeon x 1400, pro). There are just too many choices about graphic card. Desn't anybody have a idea what I should get?
I use 3ds max, Maya, zbrush, and photoshop
less than $150 would be good
os: Windows vista
Helps appreciated

Unfortunately you may want to be looking at a quadro.

Surely every graphics card ever built supports open gl?
Are you sure the error wasnt a lack of opengl 2.0.
In that case just get any card that can handle shaders. The geforce 7800, 7900, 8600, 8800, 9800 ...

Here is the error: "No GL_EXT_texture_env_combine support!"
And then a error message: "GL_INVALID_ENUM:"
And then Zbrush crashes......
I did some research and they said this is because of the Graphic card. I have no idea about this...
Thanks

Yeah as I suspected. Your card does not support the recent open gl support for shaders by the look of it.
A 8600 card would sort you out. :)
