View Full Version : Body Sketch
Genoism 07-10-2008, 11:26 PM In an effort to learn the human anatomy better I've started doing a lot of muscle sketches off some references...also looking to try and come up with a nice high res 3d model of a body to improve my modeling skills. I'm thinking of using my world of warcraft character as a base but im not really sure yet. I added muscles over her body just for more practice :)
Any critique is most welcome!
I guess I'll update my progress on the character here as I go on.

wow, you have a big patience :surprised all these muscles ...
I'm still practising in anatomy, so I don't know if I can give any good suggestion ^^
What I can suggest you is to try to add shadows, this will give more the idea of volume (important with muscles and armors).
I wait for your updates :)

It's coming out nicely so far. For improving anatomy, I'd suggest paying close attention to the skeleton beneath the muscles, it's a fine thing to practice since it's providing all the structure. Also, since she seems to be so lean, don't forget about all the nuances of the muscles when shading, it'd really help give her more depth! :)

thanks for the feedback, i know the shading on the arms is a bit weak at the moment ill try and make those muscles stand out a bit more.
