Well since this is your first model I don't want to be too ruff on you, but here is some help:
1. The back rest with the squares is a little too messy and to sharp. Looks like it could stratch you
2. Hard to tell what the objects on the seats are. Patches? Or something?
3. The seat looks a little low to the ground compared to the back part, but some do that so I could be wrong
Overall it's very nice and smooth and interesting. A good start and look very good once a proper shader is put on it. Lighting is also nice too. I would either drop the lamp and stand or make a scene or it or alteast add a floor and a simple wall.
Nice job and what program are you using?

Scott

thanks for the crit scott, Don't be afraid to be ruff, i wont run off hehe. I agree with you about the back rest...But i couldnt figure out how to smooth them without smoothing the entire thing again. the objects in the seats are sort of like the back....they are supposed to be kinda like a bumpy texture to make it look less plain, i was thinking about putting legs on the seat but i thought it looked kinda neat that way, and i have seen some chairs before like that...kinda nifty imo hehe :D and im using 3d studio max 5

looks good.. I think short legs on the chair would help.
Looks good and good luck
