View Full Version : joint rotations not saving

Hi - I'm trying to pose a character that I've made, but I'm having an issue with the wrist joint. Basically, I pose the hand, save and close the scene. However, when I open the scene, the rotations on the wrist joint have zeroed out - but the other joints (even the ones lower on the hierachy like the finger joints) have kept their rotations.

The arm joints include a shoulder, elbow, forearm, wrist, hand and then the finger joints and there is a IK handle going from the shoulder to the forearm.

I am using maya 7.

Any idea what's going on?

You created this character and rig?

Maybe something isn't calculating correctly when you're posing it and then it's getting calculated when the scene opens.

However if someone else rigged it, it may be possible that those attributes aren't set to be written to the file... however that may be unlikely.

Why not just set keys on the pose?
