When you say "Great new feature" do you mean this is part of the current version of VrayforC4D, or is it a feature that is coming soon?
I just bought VrayforC4D, but I've only used it for a few hours. I must say it was a life changing event. Vray is amazing. Things I could never achieve before are now only a mouse click away.

...wow, again.
Francesco, how did you create the trees? And what was the render time?
Richard

renato said about 1:30 on 8core
This is a new feature in the soon to be released 1.1 if I'm right informed. So there will be proxies everywhere soon

hi all,
sorry for my late reply, but is a very heavy moment for my work, test, learning to coding ...........:banghead:
as renato say, Render time in 1,30 min on my 8core.
there is only a tree model, splitted in tow object : trunck and brunch - foliage (about 750000 poly) and was cloned via mograph and the seemples resoult is given by random effector.
this one of new great feature in very near version of vrayforc4d 1.1.
believe me, my friends, change log will be very long and full of new very very very amazing feature.
Ciao
Franz
ps my takeiteasy is very near

no. 3dmax + vray SP1
but I fear it will be same like other news....
few examples. Stefan told about a new vrayforC4D relaeases before 8 months what I remember. Before 8 months (on our C4D days) I heard about new libraries, stuff (until Christmas), Hair support and much more.
A proxy would be great, really, but I wait for a release, becouse I´m not sure....
I wish you all the best guys!
Cheers P

Very impressive :)
I'd be happy if there were a proper compositing tag option before any new 'fancy' features though! ;)

Renato said "around" 07/14/2008. so i would not count exactly on that specific day. i assume it can be a few days later to be honest , lets see...(thats why i learned better not to tell dates in advcance).
anyway, we definitly guess if this last internal RC proves our tests the release is real close (this i dare to say already ;-)
cheers

During these months Renato and Daniele are working really hard on the Vray bridge, and who knows Renato's Plugins knows how much he is fast in the development. So if a betatester wrote this topic means that you don't have to wait too much. I think that for sure they want to give some dates but often developing times doesn't depend only on vray bridge developers but also from external support.

" ha! Stefan giving dates. this is serious. can't wait."
i gave a time frame no fix date sketchbook;-)
as manlio said,
we also wait for some last part vlado refines on at the moment for us. then we test all again for final output. and then, if ok, we release it.
(and then many "million trees" or "million cars" renderings will show up i guess:-)
cheers
