Hey Srek

We're trying to use TP to emit particals from one point, pass through space on a curve and get sucked in at another point. The thought was use TP Follow Spline and TP Suction. TP Suction works great but we can't get particles to work accurately with TP Follow Spline. Could you please offer some tips or take a quick look at our scene? Really tight deadline and a huge project.

thanks so much in advance if you can. Great presets! :)

hi
sorry Srek, i've a small suggestion,
when you use a spline with particles dont forget that particles uses point sequence (the color gradient) so if you're using a word for exemple, just make a line spline and attache all the letters (like the electricity) so all the letter will be (electrified)
sorry for this small tip.

I seem to be able to get a pretty easy control and transition from the Spline influence to the Suction.
Are you applying suction on the particles while they are 'on the spline' or after they have passed the last point?

A basic scene with your relative positions and TP Presets settings would help.
Cheers, Alan.

for me the problem is the particles from the basic emitter not following the spline. The suction works great.

Seems to be working fine here.

My sample as well.

Cheers, Alan.

Thanks guys!

Yeah, it seems to work fine if you draw a spline from scratch, but if you take, say, an arc spline and convert it, it doesn't work.

Thanks again!

Try to reverse the point sequence of the spline
- select the spline
- switch to points
- hit right mouse button ->reverse sequence

If you post a non working file it's much easier to see what is going wrong. By description i would agree with Sneakers tip to reverse the point order of the spline.
