Trumpets777 07-09-2008, 09:36 PM This is my second attempt at 3D tracking using Maya Live and several other programs. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Thank you for the comments.
dpendleton: I am not exactly sure what you mean by what process did I use but I will try to answer according to what I think you are asking.
I filmed it with my digital camera. Next I used Maya Live to determine the camera tracking. Then I placed the 3D models into the scene (I made the robot first). Animated the scene along with the dynamics for the fire. Worked on the lighting to try and get it as close as possible to the real world. Rendered the scene out in layers. Then I used Adobe Affter Affects to futher control the lighting and colors of each layer to match the real world. After this I used Adobe Audition to add the sounds. The whole scene was rendered out and compressed for YouTube.

Thank you for the info, I should have worded it a bit better. I will next time and keep up the good work.

Also, a little bit more info, I just used my canon SD200 Elf camera which has a low resolution so it made it more difficult and time consuming during the tracking process. I knew I was just going to put this onto YouTube but I think next time I will use a better camera.
