Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group (http://forums.cgsociety.org/javascript:zodInfuser.FillDescriptions('Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group');) has picked up U.S. distribution rights for the CG-animated kidpic "Planet 51." The $60 million dollar film was directed by Jorge Blanco (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jorge_Blanco) and written by Joe Stillman (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Joe_Stillman&action=edit&redlink=1)
