Zelpus 05-27-2003, 01:25 AM I am having problem modeling the top of some pillars for a castle in low poly and was hoping someone could lead me in the right direction on how to do it.

As you can see the pillars are all wavey and twirl up if theres an easy way to do this please tell me because ive tried atleast 10 different ways to try and make it work and none have turned out how I wanted it to :(. So if anyone can give me some advice please do.
Thanks

well i dont know what software package you are using but if you are using 3dsmax.. have the shape of the top bulb tower created.. so if you look at the base it is like say a 6 pointed star shape and then you extend it upwards.. modify the center to give the bulb shape at the base... so you now have the rivet bulb shape but it isnt twisted.. so then go to the modifier tab and select twist... and twist away :)
if you have 3dsmax its in volume one manual bage 519 :) goodluck:)
