All I know is it's still in development.
Some great features are added with every new test release.
Just be patient. Look at his site. There is a nice illustration of what the new spline shader can do.

DiTools 0.9 will not be released.
Only DiTools 1.0 will be released.
Below are some DiTools 0.9 plugins.

I'm still anticipating the full release of Jenna from darf, but out of curiosity, since there seems to be some overlap in terms of functionality between the 2 apps, could someone who has used them both (diTools and Jenna) give thier feedback on their similarities/lack of?
For instance, if you are using Jenna to replicate one object onto the surface of another, for instance, this can be done using many parameters in ditools (and Jenna has a lot of parameters control too.)
I've been using ditools for a few months now and its been great. I also want Jenna for various reasons, but want to have a clearer idea about what makes them different and what makes them similar.

hi remotion.
this is bad news. i hoped so much for a realease of 0.9 :-(
when will you release version 1.0? if it is soon then it is good news again.
i also would bne willing to pay for version 0.9 ( i guess version 1.0 will cost something?).
there are some tools in ditools 0.9 i could need very well :-)))
so long i am also very happy with version 0.89, it is an great direction you are going. i think you defenitley should make an professional cinema module out of ditools (the already published tools are also very cool and professional today)
thank you for your great pluginset anyway, do you think there is an chance for getting version 0.9(as beta for version1.0)?
cheers

i can say that both DiTools and Jenna are must have's and are very different, though they both share some functionality. Ditools 0.9 has grown tremendously from 0.8. So the 1.0 release will be pretty stunning.
Both plugins (Jenna and Ditools) have unique plugins to do things not possible in cinema by any other way, and in some cases simply not possible in other apps or other apps plugins currently. It's just so great that we have both for Cinema. It's true that they do both do certain things, but their approach is very different, and each plugin has different strengths. It's really horses for courses, you work with the plugins that you feel comfortable with, though i think that it's worth having both simply because of the tools that each don't share.

Thanks for the feedback, Mdme_Sadie.
I tend to feel the same way, based on the minimal usage (just scratching the surface) of each plugin.

as madme sadie said, its great to have them both and for cinema, they are both very unique!

Ditools is looking fabulous as always. Any info. regarding the final price? Keep in mind y'all that if Ditools carries a price like Jenna, you'd be talking $1,000 for both plugins. For that kind of dough you could buy--say--LIGHTWAVE!

Ya, you could waste your money i guess.... :D
Ok i keep hearing about Ditools and money...this sounds unfamiliar, is remotion going to start charging for ditools in realise 1?
I mean...not that i dont think its worth it...but it so nice to have a plugin with so much integral functionality for free...i know that one cant live for free...but if there is a price tag, what are we talking about?
As i said, i love the fact that its free...
maybe if there is some way to make pop up adds or banners adds in ditools we can still have it for free.
just kidding, but yeah I think that free ditools rocks and always will.

I'll gladly pay for DiTools - providing it comes with a decent manual and some sample scenes...

i dont know if version 1.0 will cost something. its just a guess.
normally you do preversions and v1 will cost at least a little bit. although i hope it will not be as much as jenna.
but maybe remotion wants to share his ditools set for free?
time will show i guess.
