View Full Version : Lights : reversed cone
powermac 05-26-2003, 08:31 PM Hi,
I´have a serious problem with 3ds max 5.
I need for my scene directional light with smaller end than is start...
It´s like taper modificator, i need it to simulate big distance.
Thanx for any answer!

In principle it wouldn't matter if the light would travel from front to back, of from back to front. So couldn't you just take a spotlight?
If the light is shining reversed you could use the near falloff range to control where the beam stops (it's all reversed if you are following me :) )
On the other hand, when you have a camera viewport, wouldn't the perspective take care of the...perspective simulating the huge distance?
Do you have a screenshot, it might clear things up...
