It seems the forum is carred out. I also posted a vehicle WIP and it generated almost no interest.

nice model looks very promising I love the tires. However most cars that race don't have treads they are smooth which provides more acceleration. But anyway looks promising.

thanks:)

regarding the tyres...it is a road car..amazing car based on an old lotus.

thanks again..ill put an update up as soon as ive got time to take it further:)

yeah thats a caterham super 7 thingy...very cool...seat of the pants stuff...
nice model...don't like paint colour but thats just opinion..tyres are cool.
i think what you need to work on now are the detailing parts..then maybe start on texturing etc.
first car...can't complain at all...very good....loads of car fans on here so you should be fine...

how about a wire shot?
cheers...good work..

its a nice model, but i think that the 2000 HKS holds the record @ 1.2

see for yourself (http://www.fast-autos.net/hks/racing180sxinfo.html)

cheers guys:) ..about the colour..your right..it stinks..its not gonna b that when its finished..thats just my modeling colour....

about the world record..is that a road car....1.6 seconds to how fast..60mph?..hmm..on the caterham website it says there cars the fastest to 100mph and 60mph....maybe a few car manufactures claim this:)

thanks again:)

sorry..1.2 scomds to 60mph...theres no photos though..shame:) .are you sure thats a road car..would be extremely fast..i think the caterham is around 3 seconds.which for a road car is scary:thumbsup:

wheres the Mclaren F1 (is a road car) and zonda come then?

everybody know the caterham is funky n fast...and comes in a fair bit cheaper than 200000!! whether its the fastest road car or not..dunno but wouldn't surprise me at all...being that close to the road would certainly make it feel fast...heh heh.
don't wanna start flame wars...but i thought the guys a caterham had build a new model which kicked...think it was on top gear..

anyway....wire wire....please..
:p

im just going by what that site said, 0-60 in 1.2 seconds and 0-100 in 2.54....thats pretty damn fast...and the HKS is a racecar...i could have misunderstood...you did say road car...

Fling here (http://www.fast-autos.net/hks/hksracing180sx.html) is a pic of the HKS

On this particular site this is what i found: HKS 1/4 mile in 7.72 @ 176 mph where the McLaren F1 came in 23rd, 1/4 mile in 11 seconds @ 130 mph

and the HKS does have 1100 bhp @ 9000 rpm...so, but like i said above it is a racecar, either way damn impressive.

wooah...very impressive...looks like a dragster though...
either way...i'll take two of each thanks...big grins.

23rd....mclarenf1....shocking...i always thought that was the fastest road car....but i know nothing about cars...and even less about c4d...so carry on boys...heh heh.

well...if i remember correctly the McLaren is somewhere around 1,000,000 USD and i think the only car that beats that is some mercedes...at like 1.2 mill.

oh..forgot..im not sure how to do the lamps..glass etc..is it better to use an image map of whats behind the glass (bulbs and stuff) or build it?..also..should i use a bump map for the glass 'ripples' or model them..has anyone any advice...

cheers:)

you know what i'd really like to see a driver sitting in this...and i think youre more than capable...why not give it a go...

(also would like to see a more...hard to describe but homemade/kit car look to it...by that i mean...stickers...badges...oil marks...scratches...catches on bonnet...grill maybe.....side vents...dunno...fat exhaust pipe or something along body...racing seat belts....screws which are visible...i don't know...but more lived in...more racing...more kit car...than production car...hope you get what i mean...little bit of detailing is really gonna pay off...again its all imho...you can of course totally ignore me....most people do....but just firing out the suggestions thick and fast...hopefully it will spark something in ya....

other than that...good work...not surprised your work is speeding up if you did 6 models of this baby...you got courage to can em and start again...so top marks.!!

:) cheers....everything you said is correct (apart from probably that i can model a driver:) )..all thode things are coming later...im especially looking forward to the fat exhaust..these cars really have them..i think ill do that today along with some other stuff..it also needs a spare wheel at the back...and the wheels are at the moment not connected to the body:) ..

thanks for your suggestions..everyone of them might get used..yep..even the driver if i can:)
