Title: KEO STUDIO - Leroy Merlin - Salle de bains / Bathrooms
Name: Keo Studio
Country: France
Software: 3ds max

Hi !
After our success on the last Leroy Merlin website (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=132&t=638312&highlight=keo ), we’re back !!!
Here is 1 of 5 stills.

This time, the theme of the campaign was ‘bathroom’. We had to deal with 5 photorealistic movies in 3D (1 movie = 1 bathroom). The challenge was the duration of these movies : they’re 2 minutes long ! When you know the time needed to render a single photorealistic picture with V-Ray, imagine something like 5 x 3000 frames to render when you have less than 2 months of production, and a small team working with you !

Well, thanks to the V-Ray GI save process, we’ve been able to reach low render times : from 15 to 30 minutes per frame. It gave good results, as you can see on the movies.

Once again we worked with a photographer and an interior designer from Leroy Merlin. In order to save as much time as possible, we chose to validate everything step by step with them : modeling, texturing, lighting, stylism, etc… which wasn’t easy because as it often happens, our clients don’t know a thing about 3D !

Oh, I spoke of render times, but didn’t specify the softwares we used : everything was done in 3dsmax, rendered with V-Ray ,and finalized in after effects.

Well, I hope you enjoy our bathroom as much as the previous website : Leroy Merlin kitchen !
Thanks to all the Keo team, and thank you for watching our work !
