So anyways, I figured that if I wanted to practice modelling the best place to start would be to model myself, so I did. I wasn't terribly pleased with the model, but I lost it late last week when my hard drive died a horrible horrible death on me.

So I found a backup of the head and started working on it based on new reference pictures(as in not ones taken MONTHS ago) and it turned out a lot better:

Still got a lot of work to do, especially around the mouth, but I think it's coming along fairly nicely...

I've also started working on the body to go with it, though it's not nearly as far along:

Ah well... back to work... Got a LOT to do before I'm done.

Of course I'm not naked! I'm wearing a sign that says "Don't look here, you pervert!" that I Photoshopped in!

That's there because my nosy housemates like to crowd around my desk whenever I'm doing anything even remotely interesting. =P

And yes, I'm taking out the reference pictures for anything below the waist.

Don't worry about the nudity remarks, he's probably just teasing.
We all have pictures like that.

As for your model. There just is not much to say about it yet I'm afraid. Me personally would let the edges follow muscleline instead of having them all paralel to another but loads of people would advice you vice versa, so.....

Keep on going....
