View Full Version : Vehicle: RS6, Ford Focus re-renders
SimonReeves 05-26-2003, 12:19 PM I just thought i'd post these 2 renders that I updated a bit - for expose
I personally think the RS6 is much better :)
Both modelled and rendered with max5 [except rims in rhino]

Both cars are great ! Nice improvements.
The leaves on the ground in the RS6 shot sticks out as beeing obvious fake.
Love the cars nevertheless

They both are great but i like the second one much more than first!!!
Definately top notch!
Crits:
> Audi [nitpick mode]
The rims look a bit blobby, big and fat. They're the right shape, but I wouldn't put them under my RS6, if I had one. Something like this (http://www.nordicaudi.com/arkivet/bildarkivet/rs6/bilder/rs6_01.jpg) would show more that the car is in fact a beast and Porsche killer. Now it looks like your average business TDI.
The side of the tires appear to be totally gray and flat: did you put a bump/tex map on it? Would break it up more.
The grill and undergrill (these are my Max name conventions! ;)) both have a chrome texture, but aren't they brushed aluminium? (See link above). More like the wheels.
The fender at the side-bottom looks very edgy, while it could be a tad bit more smooth (the edge where it goes from horizontal to vertical).

I like the render with the dirty floor (the muddy wheel streaks 10) times more than this one. This ones probably 8/10 for me. It looks totally out of place. It's nice but nothing more: put it in a surrounding or add the dirty ground again, that way it's looks more of a whole, like it came blasting into the screen with a handbrake turn, then it would be 9.5/10. Now it looks out of place to me.
I am harsh, but that's the way it should be I think with great models.
Correct me if I am wrong about anything about the Audi.

Very nice but, I have to agree with Onno.
Please put the Focus back into an enviroment, it seems so strange sat in all that white.
Withnailed.

thanks for the comments

the tires haven't got much on the side, there is a wee bit tho, but on my monitor theyre very dark anyway, so I didnt feel I needed to put more detail on em ;)
I see what you mean about the chrome at the front, but I'm gonna stick with it..
I wasnt sure about the focus, so I was going to enter the old renders anyway of it for expose, but I have changed the road one a wee bit again

That's a great render
I love the detail of the window wipers having cleared the mud from the front window ;) Nice one!
Great lighting, and a nice sense of speed :)
The only crit I can really think of is that the car paint looks a little soft, like it isn't metal.
It's great!
Now throw some cow filth onto that lovely clean tarmac...

I didnt read and of the previous post's but i noticed that the leaves on the ground are to "flat" and not enough of them, and the RS6 Wheels are way to thin...thats my only problems :D Badass models and envio's
:edit: Oh, and the driver of the Focus, is on the wrong side and have their navigaters on the right..and the drivers arms are to stiff if you kno what im saying, and his left arm, if he stays on the left needs to be lowered like hes shifting?
