Does anyone out there have a really good method for making sheep's wool in Maya?

I want to make wook for a sheep that looks real but has a soft cartoony feel to it. (no toon shaders)

Don't know if you have the abbility to use maya fur. If so, it would be an exelent way of creating Sheep fur. It only requires a lot of tweaking on the parameters givin to you.

Thanks Galactor, but I have tried fur and unfortunately didn't have any luck with it. It always seems to look more like fur than wool. The same with PaintFX.

I think it would be safe to say 'wool' would have to be the hardest fibre to recreate in 3d.
