Hi, as topic says, I have trouble making out the retopology lines over my previous mesh, can I change this somehow?

I know I can change the mesh material color but it's not enough.

Yeah... It sounds like you are trying to reload in the topo from another mesh and project it onto the one you have detailed out.

If this is the case, then ZB is trying to "help" you by hiding half of the edges of your newly imported topology. It doesnt really change your ability to move the points around, but I personally think that its slightly more of a pain in the ass (can I say ass?) than it needs to be.

Fortunatly you can unhide all just by doing a hide selection out in empty space, just like when you are editing geo. Fortunatly a lot of your conventions stay the same: Symmetry, Masking, Movement and such. Unfortunatly they dont really indicate to you when somthing a bit off might be going on: Hidden Edges, Masking points without changing the color of them so that you wonder why you cant move them around for about an hour before you figure it out... that sort of fun.

Hope this helps you... Good Luck!!!

edit: wow... first post. who knew?

An easy answer? Fill the Reference Model (old topology) with a dark grey color before adding it to the ZSphere for retopologizing. :)

I cover that in the free Topology for Sculpting (http://gnomonology.com/tutorial/283) tutorial at the Gnomonology blog (http://gnomonology.com/blog/?p=45). :)

Best,

Ryan
