Can't see the graphics unfortunately, though sound plays. What encoding are you using? Might be worth trying to do a divx version...

MACs? What is this strange out-of-date technology? Just kidding, maybe a quicktime is needed for the poor unfortunates who own one of those...
Yeah, can see it fine now, like it a lot, especially for a first animation! Love the drawings as well, they show a real eye for the volume of a subject.
C&C for the anim:
I'm not sure if the setup shot quite works at the start, possibly a pan from the jello all the way down to the kid would emphasise the problem he faces more clearly.
When he's trying to move the chair the camera shake is off-putting, would possibly be better to have him shake with the strain instead.
Deformations of the mesh around the feet are a little strange.
One last thing, sound effects would have helped a lot telling the story, particularly when he falls down. And I was waiting for the jello to fall on him at the end!
Good stuff though, hope you keep it up... ;)

Hey ritz,
Trix may not have been successful in getting that jelly bowl, but u sure r in showing off ur 2d and 3d animation skills....its a great start.....into the field of animation.
well yeah i think u can lower down the camera shake in the pulling shot.
gud work!:)

Hi dude!
nice stuff you have here.....
good animation....eventhough the location of jelly looks unlogical but I like the character animation and the very quite mood of the scene....
by the way, I liked the music. What is it?

poor unfortunates :hmm: May I remind you that Macs are great machines to work with. And best of all MacOS X is based on Unix so almost no stability problems. Way better then Windows. If I had the money I would buy one :D

Very nice, believable animation. Very humorous, too. :)
The strains on his face work really well. The timing is right on for his facial expressions, IMO. Too many people over-telegraph the impending problems by making the face change too soon. You're way ahead in this area.
I was distracted when the chair first moved and the GI baked shadows didn't follow it.
I also liked the shots where the camera was perfectly still much better. The shaky movement indicates someone with a handheld camera is watching, but that's not part of the storyline. I guess it just doesn't fit for me.
Also I don't understand why the freezer door stops and then violently swings on its own - there's no explanation for the strange physics there... and what is the delayed flash? The flash happens after I'd imagine the character hit the wall, so it's hard to tell if that is the intention or if it's something breaking off camera.
Thanks for sharing this. It's very good, nonetheless.

yeeesh, im not even using a mac and that still irked me.
As for the animation:
I liked the idea, but 2 points bugged me, the screen shake when he tres to push the chair and the ending. The shaking should have only been him shaking and the ending just seemed... well it didnt conclude anything for me, i think it can be expanded more.

thank you webfox for your comments and suggesstions....I must say you have a very good eye for detail.....coz I never noticed the shadow of the chair before you said it and have showed it to so many but nobody did....:applause:
as for the flash it is to indicate his fall on the floor after being hit.
for the camera....initially when i was working on it since the camera angle is the same for a long time...the scene looked still and dead so the camera shake was to give motion to the whole frame, make it live and as a relief factor. I guess it is a little too much...thanks for the pointing that out, i'll work on it.
that was for i-blue too....as for the ending its a part of the story ... this is an animation done in a limited period of time so expanded storyline was not possible..... its a short where "trix" my character tries something and cudn't get it. O-Darn...but thanks for your suggesstions i really appreciate the feedback.:)

I guess I noticed the shadow because when he first tried to lift the chair, it wiggles a little, but its feet never leave the ground. I don't know if this is because shadows were turned off during the animation's rendering, or if it's because the feet intersect the floor. I guess I kept looking there to see what was happening.
It's not a big thing. It just happened to catch my eye.
About the flash... To me, it's very strong for what you are trying to convey. Maybe a smaller flash that doesn't expand over the whole room would seem more natural? If the light never passed beyond the lower right, it would indicate where the action is coming from. Right now, it's very bright and almost makes him look like he's getting electrocuted.
Maybe a weak light where he hits the wall while hanging from the freezer door, and then a slightly brighter light below where he has the stronger hit on the floor after he falls...
Everything's subjective. I don't even know if you have the models and scene files to rework any of this or not...
Looking back at the work, the camera motion isn't so bad. The vibrating shake is the only really distracting part. If his elbows and knees shook instead of the camera, it would be more realistic.
Things can be adjusted forever. You still have a good piece. Good luck in your future works. :)
