View Full Version : VFX - create flickering video effects in combustion / AE
future14 05-26-2003, 09:13 AM Hi guys, i am new in compositing, would like to ask for help in creating flickering video effects ( don't know whether i have the correct name, but i wanted to create those video interference effects with lines distorting on some footages...)
at 1st i thought to try with adding a lines ( with transperancy ) graphic layer with created by photoshop, then add on the footages and try to keyframe the video filters / effects...
if u guys got any opinion on that?

(in Combustion 2.0)
for a quick solution to creating a flicker: Operators/Particles/Stobe Brightness
For the lines on the video you can import a frame with matte or use the Venitian Blinds Operator to create and animate lines to taste
You should probably also add some Grain and bump of the levels
and for the distortion go to Operators/Distort and play with the options there until you get something you like
Hope that helps
Cheers,
Kat
