Hi,
My name is Sam and I'm new to this forum. I work for a small animation company in New Zealand (I've been there a little over 6 months) and I work mainly on stuff for TV, where I get to do a bit of everything as far a 3d goes. (and even some character design when I'm lucky) I thought I'd see if I could get some feedback on my work.
This is the modelling part of a small modelling, texturing and lighting project I'm working on in my spare time.
I thought I would get some feed back on the model before I continued on to the texturing stage.
I added a lot of unnecessary geometry so I could get the right shape for the inside of the mouth, which I now realize should have been modelled separately.
I'm especially interested in any advice on the more technical side of modelling ie. should I have used tri's in some area's rather that trying to use all quads ect...
I've also include a couple of preliminary sketches with I followed loosely.

Any comments and suggestions are welcome.
Thanks,
Sam

I must admit that your dragon does not look typical, but over all I like it, but I would make the teeth a little larger and add more detail to the parts of the lower jaw that extend back past the head. As to triangles and quads that depends on who you ask. I learned to use only quads so that is what I stick with. Keep it up.

Very nice, I like its uniqueness!
