Installed C4d 8.0 then netrender and this have made a new folder named MAxon/cinema4d inside the folder of Cinema 4d itself...*?!

why just don't install the client/server app besides c4d one?

Anyway i runt the 8.1 updater, choosed the main folder (the one containing cd4.exe) and the result was that i had the Net modules updated while the cd4 app not! this happened on the mac,
while on my pc the other way round: Cd4 updated to 8.1 and the net apss not.

any clue?

update:

on Windows
runt the updater and choosed the folder containing client and server inside the c4d folder.
The update to 8.1 went ok.

tryed on the mac to choose the main c4d folder to update the things and still the main app is 8.0.

I suggest you contact maxon support directly with instal issues like this. Also I'm not sure yu should be installing on both computers unless you have two licenses, but I oculd be wrong on that. Lastly please avoid the cursing in the future.

i'm not english, but if the meaning of the verb TO curse is the one i found in the dic, i've not cursed anybody.
or do u refer to the "*?!" if so, for me, they meant "weird" nothing more.

otherwise forgive me if i did something wrong and i did not notice that

mmm sorry, cursing is also the use of profane language.

one of those weird english things sorry for the confusion.
