superfly18 05-25-2003, 11:11 PM Some of you might have seen this picture i posted down at the Cinema 4d forums and got some nice critisim.
I left the project awhile ago and then suddenly came back and fixed a few things.
I think the render turned out pretty nicely.

Nice composition of the shot. Good work on the black leader texture.

very nice render.
The proportion of the black plastic piece that sits right next to the ear padding (black leather) seems a wee bit odd.
The floor has too much light shining on it so the reflection is not all there. Just a bit of work to correct that I guess.
I like the metallics

I like it... but there's something about the inside of the ear part that looks fake... I can't tell why though... It's annoying that I can't figure it out... maybe if you bump-mapped it a bit?

yeah the inside part of the ear peice is the only thing bugging me with this model.. it may be that texture is to low resolution? it looks alittle blurry or out of focus or something.. it should be the soft mesh stuff right?
other than that... nice model :D the outside earcovering looks great

the black plastic part that connects them looks kind of weird to me, right where the bend is in them it isn't a 'smooth' bend but rather a kind of rotate/rotate kind of bend. good work all in all

Hmm..Thanks for all the replies, comments and crits!
About the little mesh "inside" the earpiece:
I have been working on it for quite sometime and could never really get the kind of look I wanted. The texture was unfortunately blurred and the bump isn't great. But I think it doesn't throw the image off so i stopped worrying about it.
Btw, noone asked, but this set of headphones are cordless.. ;)
