I've tried to create a cube -> bevel -> extrude -> convert so sub d but it didn't work.
Its strange because the guy from Digital tutors does that on a tutorial and it works... worked for me too but not for a custom sofa : (

You dont even need to bevel it. Once you convert it to subd's it becomes rounded. What you need to take into account is to add more loop edges in the borders you dont want to be too rounded.

but that is for rouding the cube i dont want to round just the cube, i want to create those rounded things aroud the sofa... its difficult to explain... look in the picture and you will see some rounded little borders around the matte.

Thanks man... but the real problem is when i try to model sofas, pillows and etc... im starting with modeling and CG so i dont have much experience. Ive done that tutorial and the exemple he uses works perfecly, but when you're modeling a sofa, you will find some trouble. Ill try to follow one 3Ds Max tutorial here that teaches how to model a very big sofa with a lot of details...
Thanks for all the help!
