This might be a n00b question but i'll just ask anyway. I remember back then there's a maya book that has a tutorial on a basketball is thrown to a net that is eventually being apply with softbody and wrap deformed with the high res object. I wonder if anyone know which book is this and if there's any similar example online. Tried to find one but couldnt find it.

Thanks

If I remember correctly, that example used softBody curves -> lofted surface....

similar to the old "balloon girl" dress from Bingo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tikpXhko0sk) ... this is going back a long time (9 years??), and probably hard to find tutorials...

do you not have access to a cloth solver? it would be much easier/simplier...
