How to make a real treeskin? Did anybody have an idea? This one is just procedual.
Thnx
Personally...I liked it without the tree....but if you must...check out leighs site and read up on uv's....cause the tree texture isn't working....good work though on the grass....keep it up:thumbsup:

Yeah...the second tree.. :p
"What's that?"
"A tree!"
"How'd you make it?"
"Well, i took a block of wood and carved away everything that didn't look like a tree."
It's gorgeous though. I find that the pictures i like the most are the ones I made to escape my current environment (sunny on a rainy day)
The lensflare hurts my eyes...and it's always in the same area. You might try removing it.

Well I do like the grass, but I think it might be worth your while to space it out a bit and not make it so uniform. Kinda looks more like someones overgrown lawn now more than a field. Sky's looking okay. Tree needs work like you said and perhaps add something else to the scene to give us a middle ground. Flowers are kinda doing this now. Your scene is definately progressing.

I only criticised the tree texture. I thought the tree model was adequate for the scene. That "thumbs down" looks too sad for your picture.

Sorry zuzzabuzz, the flare is still there... but I change it, when I change the BG, this one is just to show you how the final one will look like.

Very pretty. The texture on the tree looks much better. I'll be interested to see what things look like with different times of day...but this picture looks fine.

'nother update
http://www.schreck-net.de/wiese_9b.jpg
First thought...why through the bike in there and ruin the image...I would just completely remove it...there's no reason to have it in there...I'd rather see a blanket or something like that...the colors and the model of the bike aren't comparable to the scene in my opinion...it's come a long way though...great job:thumbsup:

wow nice image.
The crit I have, well two are the color is too uniform. need some brown grass, maybe a flower or two. that kind of thing. The other is the leaves seem too dense. should have a branch or two with leaves poking out or have some gaps in the leaf cover. Basically break up that ball of leaves.
