Any suggestions on how to make an object look like it's been vacuum thermo-formed?

I'm guessing I need to run a cloth simulation over my objects then "freeze" it in place? Unsure how to get the cloth to be "vacuumed" tight and not just draped over my objects.

Try the Shrinkwrap deformer in MOCCA.
