Title: Bender RodRiguez

This is the character i chose for CGSociety's HMC #14.
My goal for this HMC was to model Bender from futurama, a character with a basic cylinder design, in a way that he could qualify as a hi-res model. That meant going for "real world" rules, adding as many mechanical details (hinges, rotors, traction) as he would need to function in "real world".
It was definitely fun finding honest solutions for him, instead of settling for the show's convenient morphing, and still keep inside the character's outline while adding the detail. A few props where then added (hot rolexes, deck of cards, booze, cigars) to bring out Bender's character in the show.
Some hidden details will be posted as separate renders soon.
