View Full Version : Vehicle: E-Wing
Goreld 05-25-2003, 08:36 AM This is an E-wing (from the Star Wars expanded universe, copyright Lucasfilm or Lucasarts or whoever). It's for a computer game modification me and some friends are working on. Since it needs to work in a realtime engine, the model's fairly low poly- 742 polies to be exact. These renders were with 2 1024x1024 texture maps; I'll probably reduce them to 512x512 for the final version in the mod.

Poly count is 742 polies. You can see a wireframe comparison at:

just a suggestion. try making more highlights around the gibbling areas on the texture. it usually keeps the texture from looking flat.

I think the red stripes are a bit too dark. Fade em down for a more weathered look. Rusted and Weathered... just like the Creed song... oh yeah

nice model, though i agree with monkey about the red stripes. other than that the textures are great

Not to turn this into a WIP, but here's the version I'm probably going to use for the final version (taking critiques into account). I'm doing several ships for the mod, this is the first one.

I would make the red paint even more faded, except that in the game it will be important to see the squadron's color. I don't want to confuse a friendly red squadron with an enemy blue squadron.

are you doing some x-wing or x-wing vs tie fighter mod?? guess no as it would have to be quite a lot more than just a mod so what game is this for?
