Title: NHM Matte Painting
Name: Linda Smith
Country: United States
Software: Photoshop

I am not sure why I never uploaded this. I think I was going to re-visit and touch up a few things. I did this for the NHM Matte Painting Challenge here at cgtalk. I have included an image of the original plate we had to clean and extend to the left.

I had a lot of fun with this and unfortunately missed the Matte challenge that followed that one. I have to keep my eye out for more though. It was a great learning experience for me.

Hello Linda,
I expected something cute, fluffy with eyes.:surprised The skull from the dino in the water makes everything okay again :) Good painting, a little scary though. I like the detailing in it. Wish I could see the full format. Nice color combination. The background makes it warmer to look at. But I think the seeling (the few board right above) could use a little touch. The boards are looking now a little flat/ thin material. a thicker edge on a side would make it more realistic.

Thank you Leone, ha ha you have a great eye those areas are exactly what I was going to re-visit and never got around to it. When I was working on this I had the upper area of the painting exactly how I wanted it and goofed on a file save so had to start over again and didn't give as much attention to detail as I could have in that area. Thanks for the great comments and I suppose I could have put a patch of fur on the dino head ha ha :)

Thank you very much aktoom and kay2 :)
