Max Hair

If you go back and look at the "demonstration" videos for Max 8 and 9 at Autodesk's website for Max, you will see some hair demos that give a decent overview and a few tips.

VTC.com has a bunch of Max titles ($30/month gets you 24/7access to all their training...quit when you want, not contract). The one for Max 8 covers hair and cloth and CS fairly well.
