The concept is interesting and you're on a good path. My critique is more about some finer touches.
First the lizard skin coarseness is applied very evenly and uniformly and it looks like random noise. I'm talking about the skin quality of the lizard. Vary this some more, in some places make it denser, in some places wider, in some places none at all (the stomach of a lizard is usually smooth). Plus since he's a warrior, he'll probably have lots of cuts and scratches on him.
Second the musculature is not properly thought out from an anatomical point of view. Muscles aren't just lumps. They're fibers that connect one bone to another through tendons and ligaments. These connections are important and often visible. The bicep from the upper arm and the forearm muscles in your model seem to work independently, and are divided by a clear line. This is not correct, normally the bicep would reach a little bit in the forearm bones (it's job after all is to pull the forearm), and the forearm muscles connect through the humerus of the upper arm. The same is true in your chest area, and the muscles seem like they're just lumps. What supports them? where do they attach? What do they pull? All these considerations have to be account for, in order for your model to look lifelike and believable. Look at pictures of body builders for references on how to structure things.
Last the head seems a bit small. Think of a way to make it more menacing.
Anyway, sorry about my lengthy rant, i just really like talking about anatomy. Don't get distracted too much by it, your model is coming up nice, and you should finish your original concept before you start modifying things.
