View Full Version : Question about CSTools 3dStroke
rurik 06-28-2008, 12:26 AM I'm trying to make a slight change to the 3d stroke included with CsTools. Instead of the sort of round thick stroke I want it to look flat, as if it had no thickness. I tried replacing the circle in the Sweep Nurbs with a rectangle spline, but lost my shape. I opened up the Xpresso editor and changed the circle node with the rectangle (keeping the same ports and wires), but still no good.
What is the way to do this?
Thanks!
Alex

simply make the circle an ellipse and decrease the lower radius of the ellipse to near zero. Should work to get rid of most of the 3d look. However, this requires the pluggy to align the mesh to the cam accordingly. IŽd use 3d strok for AE for this. :)

How about this. I've added another link field for the profile spline. Simply drag & drop requred profile into link. An Arc spline will give you a 'flat' stroke.
Note: Profiles need to be aligned XY.

I also have CS_Linegrow which is a flat ribbon shape that can have a tip that follows along with growth.
