OK, Can anyone put together a beginners tutorial to do a fairly realistic exterior rendering. It can be pretty basic, Im just really trying to work on lighting setups while doing interiors. and I am very very interested to see how some of you all setup lighting in max for realistic exterior renderings.
This is what im working on now and im kinda struggling.

Short exterior lightning tutorial:

- create a daylight system
- tweak the settings
- add a lighttracer
- render

Short enough?

There's a rather decent tutorial on this that comes with Max.

i'm not sure about stock max, but with brazil all you need to do is turn on the skylight and add one target spot, or one derectional light, or, if you are feeling spunky (and u have the full version), one area light. then give that light a slightly yellow tone, with a multiplier of about .6
