Are ther any good tutorials here or on the web for how to use adobe illustrator.. i ahve version 10. i am a complete newb when it comes to illustrator and don't understand it at all.. so any help much appreciated.
How come there isnt a illustrtator forum like with photshop and painter??

I think it's because people tend to think of Illustrator as more of a graphic design type application, with limited ability to actually draw/paint in an intuitive manner, whereas Photoshop and Painter are for general 2D work and can be used to quickly draw/paint anything and simulate a wide range of styles and mediums.

Graphic design sites will offer the best info for learning Illustrator, though projects will be commercial arts specific.
I've never used it in this way, but I could see Illustrator used as a tool for cartoon style skins or mattes then shaded in Photoshop.
