View Full Version : Select polys of extruded polys automatically?
soccerrprp 06-26-2008, 02:11 AM Okay, So here it is...is there a way to have your poly selections that have been extruded in anyway automatically selected so that all I would need to do is after extruding, just set selection and be done with it? I have had a ton of polys to matrix extrude and have had to go back and select all of the new extrusions to set a selection tag. Would love a script that did that for me.

Check the Update Selection Tags script by Darter (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=182&t=576712).

Not a one-click solution, but you could do a set selection on the polys not to be extruded, then, after the matrix extrude, do an inverse selection of the "selection tag" to get the new polys selected.
Edit: Aahh, another Darter script I missed. Thanks, Darter.

Why not do a grow selection command? i.e. U + the Y key then the set selection command.
