Hi guys,
I need help...This is what I do, I make a new file, set the Background Contents: Transparent...Type the text that I want, (I won't flatten the file after I'm done because i find it turns the transparent background to white) But then even if I DON'T flatten the image and just hit Save As, name.tiff, when i open up the file, the file still magically turned white(even though when I saved it, it had a transparent background) So my question is, how do I keep the background transparent?? PLEASE HELP!

TIFF files can't have areas that appear transparent when looking at the pure RGB document. You can, however, use an alpha channel in a TIFF file (and other a few other file formats) to block out the background. But only PSD/PSB files can display the transparent background in the way that you're wanting.

...or you could save it as a png file.

png will premultiply against the background which may cause a fringe on the edges.

In the .tif save dialog, make sure to check the 'save transparency' box...
