Very cool! The only thing that sticks out to me is the turntable / mixer are dry (increase specular?)....But other than that, great job.

i think it would work better without the rain, maybe at night. at least the rain should be less uniform, nothing real is perfect.

Things that i feel make this image look unrealistic:

the mixer lacks knobs.. MORE KNOBS!

the dude is dj laptop or something? playing on a park bench? give the poor guy a table.

the dude is dj school uniform instead? haha get into character mister!

oh yeah.. and the last minor technicality... usually turntables and a mixer require a plethora of wires and cables to hook em all up together.. specially the mixer... so.. you might want to consider that too,.

GGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DJ SCHOOLYARD!

Cool image, but where are the wires from the turntables to the mixer ?
And I agree that there should be more knobs at the mixer.

I might be totally wrong (probably just a bad photo) but his left arm looks like it's broken or dislocated. Plus you can tell the mixer is a comp because it is hovering above his lap, when it should be resting on his lap, and if there is some sort of stand supporting it, make it visible.

I like the concept, but there is no need for 3d models here, I say do an actual photo shoot and have it all be real. Cause this is not believable at all.

Rain doesn't look natural coming straight down (90 degrees of the ground). rain is too uniform and there is no rain bouncing off the guy adn equipment. Also, that's a TON of hair spray because his hair isn't wet either.

Unless this is a completely touch sensitive mixer, it needs knobs. and wires.

First of all, there are some details that I forgot to include. THe idea of the cover was to show that this guy brings practices everywhere, even at school in the rain

folical: thanks

zachgrachan: (refer above)

kife: actual DJ mixers don't have a lot of knobs. School uniform is character, refer above.

Pjanssen: note taken, needs wires

eagle300: note taken about the rain. This guy does wear a lot of hair jel (He was sitting in the rain before it stopped and I dared take my camera out and take some photos)

telecaustic: I see, will fix arm. Umm, how would you like to bring $1000 worth of equipment into the rain for a photoshoot? And anyways, rain doesn't come out with my camera.

Rain look like motion blured noise done in photoshop.

The turntables and mixer have no droplettes of water on them. If its raining they might be a lil more wet;). Plus i don't know if this was intentional or not but theres not a touch of crome or just shiny metal on the turntables and mixer. Something in there has to be a shiny metal:) That and the records themselves have no groves nor specular nor relfection...

Thats all i could come up with

Great compostion so far.....just a couple more elements and you can call it complete ;)
