Are there any good resources for learning smooth painting or how to smoothen an existing painting? Everything I try stays blotchy and the strokes are visible.

The best example of this I can find is here.

This one almost achieves what I'm looking to learn, but you can still see the paint strokes.

Have you tried just experimenting with the smudge and blur tools? Also, filters like smudge stick can help..

Anyway... Maybe this will help:

Hi Archangelgabe,
I think I might be able to help you out...I'll put together a little tutorial later today.

A couple quick questions:
Would I be right to assume you're using photoshop? If so, what version?

Second, do you own a pressure-sensitive tablet? (ex. wacom bamboo/grapphire/intous)
