View Full Version : How can I set for monitor?? :shrug:
rmatlchans 05-24-2003, 06:11 AM HI, guys.. this is a simply question..
Well... I am not a new guy in CG world.. but recently I got this question..
basically I have a 17' monitor and wonder about 1280 X 1024 is right for that or 1280 X 960..??
Often I have heard 1280 X 960 is right way to go for 2:3 which is ..... well, you know~! :D
But most of you ( i guess ) would set 1280 X 1024 for you baby, roght..?

I think you should try out the different display resolutions and see how they work on different applications.

1280x1024 is just wrong
1280x960 has the correct aspect ratio

Ya, THanks for replys guys~!
But I'm still wounderring.. coz..
: If I set the monitor as 1280 X 960, I have often seen many pix and movies which is set fot 1280 X 1024 rate.
I mean, most of you say 1280 X 960 is right to go, but why there is also lots of stuff which right with 1280 X 1024..?
Well.. Just woundering.. -_-;;
I may have to change the rate all the time ...

A pic rendered in 1024*768 on a 1280*1024 will BE exactly the same as a pic rendered on 1280*960.
