New port piece. Going for a Legacy of Kain meets Gears of War look. Basicly, he is a vampire that went to sleep in the 1300's and woke up 600 years later. The suit cleans and recycles his blood so he can survive on the post apocolyptic earth mua-ha-ha!. He is at about 10,300 polys. Started to texture him. 2x2048 color, normal, and spec maps. The red spots will be lights. The color scheme is still up in the air but will probably be in the black/gray/red evilness area. Anywho, I need to do a damage/aging pass and add some more techyness. Also do his weapon. All feedback is helpful and appreciated.

Looking good. I think the colors are too drab and grey....spice it up with a little splash of color.

The 1900's are post apocolyptic? Other than that nitpick (which has nothing to do with the actual pic lol) I think you pulled off your intentions very well. Definitely looks like this vampire belongs in gears of wars lol, but then again I only played it once.

Oh, yeah. I mean 1500's. Thanks. Me no good with the math.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I'm going to have to get a nice color scheme. I tend to always gravitate towards more dark and desaturated colors and I need to try to break out of that. I won't be going for florescent orange on this guy, but I'll do some experimentation. Did a minor damage pass and threw some blood red in. I'll be adding more age to it here soon and giving his loin tapestry (?) an emblum. Thanks for the feed back. All comments are helpful.

that's looking really nice. I actually like the dark muted colors. I think they adapt better to next gen techniques. Improve the lighting in the scene a little bit. Right now a lot of the detail is getting washed out and i think that's what's making it look kinda bland.

OK. I think I am just about done. I added the cape which makes the hanging cloth make more sense. I want to finalize the color scheme. Here are a bunch of variations of red, gray, black and also some blue. I do want to stay pretty traditional to make him look like a vampire at first glance. The colors are paintovers in photoshop. What do you guys think?

Alright. I rigged and posed him and I think I am done! I still am going to give him an axe, but this will be enough for my port until then. Rendered in Max with mental ray. He is now at 10,600 tris with 2x 2048 color, normal and spec, and a 1024x512 set of the samewhich will include his weapon. All comments and crits are welcome and appreciated.

that's awesome!

P.S.
The thumbs in your website are very ambiguous. You can't tell at all what image they link to.

I think they are fine just way too zoomed in on some. But nice pics overall =).

I don't know why I feel the need to post on this thread since we share a cubicle at work, but this has gone to another level since you posed him and added the little details (teeth, glowing lights, drapery, etc.)...great character man. Awesome work.
