Here are some of the scenes i'm working on.Unfortunately i dont have much experience with lighting so i'm trying to improve it with your crits.
In these scenes i want to give a dark felling, preferably by keeping lighting low.I'm trying to archive a tim burton look with this short movie.
I'm really looking forward to get some crits here before i start animating the scenes.
Thanks for your help.
Here are the 2 scenes (Some models are untextured, especialy in the first scene.)
1) The house entrance,Outside is rainy so the raindrops do project on the light.

2) The dining room, this is lit by candles and outside light only.

Here's an update to the lighting
I added some volume light comming from the windows and also applied what i think will be the final color correction.Anyway i'm really looking forward to the crits.

I think you could make your windows brighter - like a blue color that we could see their silouhette. You can definitely make lighting on the characters more pronounced, though it will be a bit of cheating, but anyway it's a cartoon style. Your floor texture looks a bit flat, maybe add some specular texture to break the uniformity and bump. In the second pic, the character that sits away from camera is not defined well, he needs a rim from candles. Either make one more candle from his left or cheat the lighting. Also I think the candle light can be brighter and more saturated. Once again the windows can be brighter, you can make some scary silouhettes outside - black-and-blue. The third is quite good to my taste, maybe a bit more definition to characters with rim lighting could be achieved.
Very good scenes in general, quality stuff.
About the windows, see for yourself: maybe the 1-st pic could benefit from silouhettes in the windows, but the 3-rd maybe not.
