I think the wood looks too new. Maybe the wooden pattern is too noticeable? Besides that, the wood is full of horizontal stripes and that's not the way a carpenter would cut it (in real life the stripes go along the piece of wood for this kind of structure)
Besides that, I'd also like to see that little girl tossing the cookies

nemirc,
You know I spent so much time trying to get the wood textuer to look right. Like I said I'm very new to all this 3d stuff. In Maya 4.5 when I textuer something a box like thing shows up. As I move it around the textuer lay out moves as well, like you guys don't know this :p In order for me to see if it looks right I would have to render it every time. Even with the hardware texturing on I can see the textuer moving around & that about it. In render window I can see it, but not what I wanted :annoyed: This drive me crazy!
Dose anyone know how I can go about doing this in an easier way.
Thanks

You can apply a new UV projection to the object to change the direction of the stripes. I think it would work better if you applied a different projection to adjacent faces.
You can also tweak the parameters of the texture node to change it's direction...
At least that's what can be done in Maya and MAX :bounce:

Looks nice :bounce:
Still I think the walls are too clean but that's what WIPs are for :D
BTW I don't know why the paralax effect adds some sort of "artistic look" to the image :buttrock:

Are you going for photo-realism or a cartoony look? It looks good for a cartoony kinda thing... I would suggest making the stair bigger and the second floor higher up.

Thanks for the imputs guys,
nemirc,
The artistic look was done with the zoom tool in the general shelf in Maya 4.5:D
