My girlfriend, the lit major, is currently undertaking the "hugebungous" task of writing a fantasy novel. To help her along as well as give myself some practice and work to do, I'm illustrating some of her ideas hoping to help her cement the foundations of a new world.

Both are early WIP, the first one further along then the second.

The first location is a great oak tree that acts as hub/doorway/gatekeeper. Started two days ago.

Location 2 is an underworld, her description was " a tom waits song about a louisiana bayou, except...below the earth.." I'm going to use lots of moss and stalagtites/mites to give a swampy feel..as well as phosphorecent alge to give it some semblence of light.
Started last night.

all sorts of feedback is appreciated!
